I wish I can agree with you fully. Life is bit more complicated than teh black and white you are presenting here.
There are somethings which are very fundamental. And when we face a loss/defeat in those areas it is almost impossible to reconcile. For example the day Chetan Sharma was hit for a six of the last ball by Javed Miandad in an ODI, Things fundamentally changed. For a long time thereafter India cd never win at Sharjah. To say it was just another ODI is not understanding the significance of some things. Some things and people and events are more important than others.
