Mangte Chungneijang Mary Kom, aka, M.C Mary Kom or popularly known as Magnificent Mary is a well known figure in Indian Women’s Boxing. She hails from the tribal community of Manipur in north-east India.Coming from a poor family, belonging to a small village, it was difficult for her to pass even the Class 10 standard board exams. It was her sheer determination, will power and hard work that made her an international name today.
